Madeline K. Malisa grew up in Portland, Oregon and Shelburne, Vermont. She attended St. Lawrence University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2005) where she majored in history and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. She graduated from the University of Maine School of Law (pro bono service award, J.D. 2009). She is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.
During law school, Madeline served as a law clerk on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, as a legal intern in the York County District Attorney’s Office, and as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic.
Madeline’s practice focuses on general civil ligation, workers’ compensation, and domestic relations. Madeline has gained significant litigation experience, second chairing several lengthy insurance defense trials. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and Maine Trial Lawyers Association. Madeline is also a member of the Board of the Maine Law School Alumni Association. She is a recent graduate of the Institute for Civic Leadership’s Emerging Leaders Program.
Madeline lives in Falmouth with her husband, Tim and their dog Barry.
