Deborah A. Buccina

Deborah A. Buccina was born in Rumford, Maine and graduated from Colby College (B.A. Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1977) and the University of Maine School of Law (J.D., 1981). She served as Assistant District Attorney, Prosecutorial District No. 1 York County from 1981 – 1985 and served as Deputy District Attorney in 1985.

Ms. Buccina is widely recognized as a top trial attorney in Maine. The majority of her cases involve personal injury claims, and she represents both plaintiffs and defendants. With her trial experience beginning in 1981 as a prosecutor and continuing from 1985 to the present in civil litigation, she has expanded her practice to include mediation and arbitration services. She is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation and related topics in seminars for members of the insurance and business community.

She is admitted to the Maine, Massachusetts and Federal Bars and is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Cumberland County Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. She formerly served as an officer in the Gignoux Inn of Court and  is currently a co-chair of a committee in the Women’s Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association.
